Following the two singers are The Weeknd and Billy Eilish, bringing in six nominations each. The nominees for the 2020 MTV VMAs were unveiled Thursday, with Lady Gaga and defending artist of the year Ariana Grande topping the list with nine VMA noms apiece. All four are up for the show's marquee video of the year prize.
