‘Modern Family’ EP To Exec Produce Canadian Comedy ‘Children Ruin Everything’ From ‘Letterkenny’ Producer New Metric Media

It follows Astrid and James, who struggle to find a balance between being mom and dad to two kids and being who they were before offspring. It explores the ways kids can tear down your life and, if you’re lucky, replace it with something you have to admit is pretty okay, too.
Smeaton and Montefiore will also serve as Executive Producers alongside Tatham.
Tatham has joined Children Ruin Everything, which was created by Schitt’s Creek writer Kurt Smeaton. The show, which is in development for the Canadian broadcaster, is about living with young children.
Modern Family and How I Met Your Mother exec producer Chuck Tatham is to exec produce a comedy for Canada’s Bell Media and Letterkenny producer New Metric Media.
“We are incredibly excited to be working with Chuck who is a legend, for many reasons but particularly when it comes to family comedy. Kurt has done an amazing job in creating this tongue-in-cheek comedy where much of its humor is derived from the difficulties and reality of balancing kids and life,” said Mark Montefiore, President, New Metric Media. Between Kurt and Chuck we’ve got a killer hilarious team.”” /> “We are thrilled to be working with Kurt Smeaton, one of Canada’s top comedic talents on his first creation.

Ray Hair Re-Elected President Of Musicians Union Without Opposition Again

Ray Hair has been re-elected international president of the American Federation of Musicians at the union’s 101st convention in Las Vegas. Hair, who has been president of the 80,000-member union since 2010, ran unopposed, as he did in the union’s last two elections.
As international president, Hair negotiates industrywide agreements with the sound recording industry, the film and television industries, and other industry associations that employ musicians. Hair is also co-chair of the American Federation of Musicians and Employers’ Pension Fund and represents the union’s 80,000 members on the AFM & SAG-AFTRA Fund and SoundExchange boards.
The reductions are required by federal law because the Fund has now entered “critical and declining” status. Hair’s election comes as some 20,000 unionized musicians across the country will soon see “painful” reductions in their pension benefits in order to keep the AFM’s $1.8 billion multi-employer pension fund from running out of money within the next 20 years.
Ed Malaga (Washington DC Local 161-710) was the only newcomer elected to the board. Eight candidates also were vying for seats on the executive board. Re-elected were incumbents John Acosta (Los Angeles Local 47), Tino Gagliardi (New York City Local 802), Tina Morrison (Spokane Local 105), and Dave Pomeroy (Nashville Local 257). The three challengers who were not elected were Michael Allen (Denver Local 20-623), Luc Fortin (Montreal Local 406), and Beth Zare (San Francisco Local 6).” />
“That is the meaning of real unionism. “It’s about sticking together, and protecting each other, because together, we can,” Hair said. This convention is about what we can do together, about remembering who we are, what we did, and what we can be.”
The leaders of the AFM’s New York local – the union’s largest local – were voted out of office in December, in part over concerns about the health of the pension plan.
Also running unopposed this time were incumbents Bruce Fife, international vice president; Alan Willaert, the AFM's vice president from Canada; and Jay Blumenthal, the union’s international secretary-treasurer.

Lionsgate Shares Slump On Spotty Q4 Report, Investor Questions About Starz Global Plan – Update

Despite management's vows of loyalty to Starz, Juenger believes a deal with CBS is a possibility.
Lionsgate's stock, which has dropped nearly 40% in the past year, fell nearly 7% Friday in the wake of a disappointing fourth-quarter earnings report and questions about the company's plan to invest in the global rollout of Starz. UPDATED with closing price, additional analyst comment.
With $2.7 billion in net debt and considerable spending ahead on the streaming ramp-up, a sale would offer investors some relief, even if it would also make the rest of Lionsgate a potential acquisition target. "For CBS," Gould wrote in a note to clients, "Starz would provide $500 million per year of additional cash flow which could help with its next NFL negotiations, there should clearly be synergies with Showtime, and it would further diversify CBS away from advertising."” />
Canada is the only territory outside the U.S. In a conference call with analysts on Thursday evening, Lionsgate said it expects to ramp up its investment in the Starz global push by hundreds of millions of dollars in the next few years. It estimates having between 15 million and 25 million subscribers worldwide by 2024. in which Starz currently has linear carriage, so streaming is the anchor of the international strategy. The premium network has 3 million international subscribers, largely through StarzPlay Arabia, a venture with Bell in Canada and an Amazon Prime partnership in Europe. Starz currently has 4 million streaming subscribers in the U.S., where its efforts have been focused until recent quarters.
The major stock indices ended the day modestly positive. The stock had sold off in after-hours trading yesterday in the wake of the quarterly numbers, which fell significantly short of Wall Street estimates. Shares finished at $14.89, which is within sight of their 52-week low of $12.94, established on May 15.
Alan Gould at Loop Capital Markets sees potential for a deal with CBS or another suitor for Starz, despite the fact that it would be "a complete reversal of strategy."
"The industrial logic behind CBS' supposed interest in Starz makes sense to us," Juenger wrote. But that deal will never happen if Lionsgate's management and board believes Starz Play International could be worth $3.8 billion (in 6 years) on top of Starz domestic (for which they paid $4.4 billion)." Which means a deal ought to exist which creates value for shareholders of both companies. "We believe Starz is more valuable to CBS (synergized and packaged with Showtime, and other CBS content/assets/services) than it is to Lionsgate.
CEO Jon Feltheimer did not address recent reports of a recent offer by CBS to pay $5 billion for Starz, instead affirming the company's long-term belief in Starz, which it acquired for $4.4 billion in 2016. “We have a plan,” Feltheimer said. We’re executing on the plan. “We’re super-confident about it. We felt that the window of opportunity [for expansion] was now."
In a note to clients, Creutz expressed his view that a CBS deal for Starz is "unlikely," and said discussions may have been prompted by Lionsgate's recent "capital constraints." Doug Creutz at Cowen rates the stock "outperform," but trimmed his price target from $27 to $23 along with lowering estimates for revenue and profit for fiscal 2020.
Todd Juenger at Bernstein reasserted his "market perform" rating on Lionsgate's stock, preserving his 12-month price target of $17 a share. "We believe the table stakes of content spend to attract and retain subs, plus [subscriber acquisition costs], will overwhelm niche services like Starz," he wrote. The headline of Juenger's report to clients Friday sums up his takeaway from the earnings call: "Anyone Can Copy Disney's Playbook, But Not Everyone Is Disney." He questions whether Lionsgate has enough muscle to compete in the big leagues of streaming.
The buildout of Starz globally, the analyst added, is an "incremental opportunity" that won't be apt to cannibalize Lionsgate's other businesses. On the upside, Creutz noted that Starz has been included in Apple's beefed-up TV efforts, which is expected to derive most of its revenue from the sale of third-party app subscriptions, as Amazon and Roku currently do.

‘Avengers: Endgame’: Is A $1B Global Opening Even Possible? If So, Here’s How It Would Go Down – B.O. Preview

Friday, April 26: Spain, Japan, Mexico, as well as South Africa, India, Vietnam, Venezuela and Ecuador
To date Disney's MCU counts 21 films released to date which have amassed $18.6B worldwide (an average of $885M a film). The Avengers series (Avengers, Age of Ultron, Infinity War) has a combined global gross of nearly $5B (average of $1.66B per film).
The midnight pre-sales will likely come in around the $20M mark, topping all previous titles – including Furious 8’s $9.1M and Infinity War’s $8.9M midnights (at historic rates). China presales have hardly slowed with $80M now in the bank and $90M+ expected. That translated to 18 tickets being sold a second. Endgame presales in China brokes records in a matter of hours becoming the the Middle Kingdom's top preseller ever; not even a Chinese New Year title has ever crossed the 1M admission level that the Marvel did in a matter of three hours. Record presales are in full swing in the U.S./Canada, estimated to be north of $120M+, and even around the world: In India, online retailer BookMyShow reports that they sold 1m tickets in just one day in advance of the pic's April 26 opening in the country in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. We hear that initial showtimes for Endgame in metropolitan areas of China are going for anywhere between $60 to $150 a ticket.
International release breakdown is as follows:
In Singapore, online ticketing platforms crashed when seats became available, and in India we hear advance bookings could set a new record. (Globally, Endgame, which was shot entirely with IMAX cameras, will be on 1,400 screens in the format.) At least 175 midnight shows throughout the UK, according to Applaudience, were sold out by local time this afternoon for Wednesday night, with hundreds more going fast. In regards to the rest of the world selling out on Endgame The IMAX BFI in London, for example, has only a handful of seats left in the 4AM and 8AM slots over the first weekend.
 ” />
Factor in the Middle Kingdom’s $190M adjusted and that rises to $550M. The movie finaled at $1.370B overseas and $2.048B worldwide at unadjusted rates. It was the fastest movie ever to $1B worldwide, the fourth movie to ever cross $2B and is the No. 3 film of all time at the international box office. Infinity War’s overseas opening last year was $360M at today’s rates and without China. Infinity War’s ultimate top offshore markets were China ($360M), the UK ($96.6M), Korea ($88.5M), Brazil ($66.7M) and Mexico ($60M), all at unadjusted rates.
China, midnight Tuesday. That's when Avengers: Endgame begins to rumble around the world, box office wise.
While the 22nd pic in the MCU is getting a five-day launch in China, it has only one day of play where school and work are not a factor. We have heard that sales are lower on the first Sunday versus the previous days. But it’s important to recall that F8 had a full weekend and DC2 opened during Chinese New Year. Historically, Furious 8 and Detective Chinatown 2 hold records for the first five days of a film in China at about $240M each. Because the State Council has given companies and students an extended four-day break from May 1-4, those extra days off are being compensated by Sunday April 28 (and Sunday May 5) being work days.
Many offshore cinemas are programming through the night and doubling up on auditoriums, much like the world No. Vue International’s pre-sales are breaking records with almost four times more tickets sold through last week than on Infinity War, and 2% more than The Force Awakens at the same stage. In the Philippines, several malls are staying open 24 hours to accommodate screenings while others are starting showings at 6AM. In U.S./Canada 450 Theatres will run special fan event screenings at 5pm Thursday. Vue’s UK Westfield and Printworks cinemas are running 24-hour screenings; smaller sites are showing it every 30 minutes. 1 exhibitor AMC is doing in the states, even keeping the lights on for 72 hours straight at some locations. Additionally, 12 theatres in major markets will run 22 film MCU Marathons (kicking off Tuesday morning), leading into the Thursday 5pm showing of Endgame.
Thursday, April 25:  UK, Brazil, as well as Croatia, Czech Rep, Hungary, Israel, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, Argentina, Panama, Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad, Bolivia, Chile and Colombia
Wednesday, April 24: France, Germany, Italy, Australia, China, Korea, as well as Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Iceland, Lebanon, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand
Endgame makes its world premiere tonight in Los Angeles and the social media embargo lifts at 10pm PST. The global review embargo lifts at 3pm PST tomorrow so we'll see what the Rotten Tomatoes score is then.
hit $270M (and no less) and China overindexes to $310M, then a billion reach by Sunday from Thanos and The Avengers is possible. (or both) would need to overperform. If Endgame is going to hit a $1 billion global weekend opening, what would need to happen as we understand is that China or the U.S. $300M-plus a piece would be amazing, however, should the U.S. Grounded projections for China are in the $250M, $280M-plus range.
Even if the Anthony and Joe Russo-directed misses that mark, some forecast that through Endgame's first ten days it could make $1.5 billion. The film industry waits with bated breath, at what could be potentially be a colossal opening. In some distribution hallways around town, people are talking a $300M domestic opening and a–gasp–$1 billion worldwide start. U.S./Canada starts off at 6PM on Thursday. With the exception of Russia, which releases Monday April 29, Endgame will go out everywhere day-and-date internationally beginning Wednesday. Mind-boggling.
If we comp Infinity War’s China pre-sales of $65M to the rest of its opening weekend, they repped about 35% which would point to around $300M for Endgame’s bow. But, this is a tricky comp since it can’t be assumed that the advance ticket buyers on Endgame didn’t also see Infinity War during the first weekend, just without pre-buying.
Disney will have the full exhibition might of 3,900 3D venues, 250 D-Boxes, Dolby, 410 Imax and 785 PLFs, which is de-rigueur for a Marvel movie. Broken out that's $680M abroad (This which would rep a new international box office record, dusting 2017’s The Fate Of The Furious which bowed everywhere save Japan in mid-April that year, to $433.2M, unadjusted) and $260M-$270M in U.S. Disney reports that Endgame will play on an industry record of 4,600 theaters coast to coast in U.S./Canada with screenings kicking off on Thursday at 6PM. Canada, also an all-time record. Currently, Nancy and I are hearing that $940M-$950M global is more in line with  cooler heads' global prognostication.

‘Black Panther’ Goes From Tentpole To Cultural Milestone: No. 2 In 2018 Most Valuable Blockbuster Tournament

THE FILM

The true tale is told when production budgets, P&A, talent participations and other costs collide with box office grosses and ancillary revenues from VOD to DVD and TV. To get close to that mysterious end of the equation, Deadline is repeating our Most Valuable Blockbuster tournament for 2018, using data culled by seasoned and trusted sources. When it comes to evaluating the financial performance of top movies, it isn’t about what a film grosses at the box office.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Here are the costs and revenues as our experts see them:
Following the the embarrassment of #OscarsSoWhite four years ago, Black Panther incentivized the film industry beyond wishes, opening the doors to more inclusive storytelling, but also further demonstrating that there’s a strong business in four-quad tentpoles featuring actors of color. With Disney and Marvel’s full might behind it, emerging superstar director Ryan Coogler, and a cast of the best and brightest Black actors, and the best reviews of any Marvel superhero movie fueling it, Black Panther became a cultural milestone at the global box office and the Oscars as well with seven nominations including Bests Picture and three wins for original score, production design and costume design. In the past many African American movies do not mirror their domestic performance, but Black Panther drew a nearly equal result abroad at $646.8M to its $700M U.S./Canada ticket sales. after Force Awakens ($936.6M) and Avatar ($760.5M). Black Panther is the third highest grossing film at the domestic B.O. Worldwide the pic grossed $1.34B. T'Challa aka Black Panther was a deeper universe character and was introduced in 2016's Captain America: Civil War alongside the fractured Avengers. Black Panther may have notched the 6th best opening of all-time with $202M at the domestic box office, but in regards to its 4-day launch over the Presidents Day weekend, it's third with $242.1M behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($288M) and Avengers: Infinity War ($282.4M).

THE BOX SCORE
Subtracted from that is slightly more than a half billion in costs including P&A, global video, interest and $45M of participations. This puts Black Panther's net profit at $476.8M,  an amount which surpasses last year's No. 1 profit winner in our B.O. tournament, Star Wars: The Last Jedi ($417.5M).” /> Between global film rentals, TV revenues and streaming, and DVD video revenues, Black Panther earns close to a $1 billion.

‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald’ Looting $69M-$70M; Widows $13M+, ‘Instant Family’ $12M+ Openings

It's also not far from the older-skewing The Intern which made $625K on its Thursday night and opened to $17.7M. Paramount reports that Instant Family starring Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne made $550K. Tracking has the pic clearing a mid-teen to $20M opening. The pic's Thursday is in the vein of Goosebumps, another family movie, which made $600K and debuted to $23.6M. The Rotten Tomatoes score for the movie currently is at 70% Fresh.
The David Yates-directed movie is off to a great start. is expected to clear $70M in U.S./Canada and not be shackled by its lackluster 45% Rotten Tomatoes score. Showtimes began at 5PM and played at roughly 3,300 locations. UPDATE FRIDAY 7:35AM: Fantastic Beasts and the Crimes of Grindelwald came in much higher last night with $9.1M. Rowling-penned movie from Warner Bros. The figure includes Tuesday sneaks at 600 locations which minted around $1.8M we hear (hence last night was $7.3M). Note that's not an exact like-for-like with the $8.75M Thursday night previews of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them's from two years ago at this time. The J.K.
These figures do not come from Warner Bros. EXCLUSIVE: After grossing $10.1M in ten offshore markets off 9K screens, Warner Bros.' Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is eyeing an estimated Thursday night of $7M-$7.5M at approximately 3,300 locations that started showtimes at 5PM, per Deadline sources.
On the Atom Tickets side, FB2 is outpacing pre-sales of Incredibles 2, Ant Man & The Wasp, and The Grinch.
Rowling, made $8.75M, which repped close to 30% of its first day's $29.66M. WB thinks it's going to debut to $250M WW; others think it's higher, possibly even $275M. The pic wound up opening to $74.4M in the U.S./Canada, but it was all about the global play with the movie, which debuted to $219.9M and finaled at $814M. As we always footnote, this estimate could go higher or lower, and west coast shows just started an hour and 15 minutes ago. Two years ago at this time, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the first chapter in the Harry Potter spinoff from author J.K. This time around, FB2 is global day and date in 79 out of 80 markets.
The Grinch from Illumination/Universal is showing a $7.5M second Friday estimate and $31M second weekend, -54%, for a 10-day of  $119.4M. 20th Century Fox/New Regency/GK Films' Bohemian Rhapsody looking like it will top the weekend's newcomers with an estimated third weekend of $16M, -49% after a third Friday of $4M with a running total by Sunday of $128.2M. Fox/New Regency/See-Saw's Widows is eyeing an estimated $13.3M opening after $5.5M Friday, while Paramount's Instant Family with an estimated $5M today is not far behind with a three-day of $12.5M
Paramount/Bad Robot's Overlord ended its first week with an estimated $13.8M while Sony/MGM/New Regency's The Girl in the Spider's Web earned $10.7M. 20th Century Fox/New Regency/GK Films' Bohemian Rhapsody earned $1.8M,  -18% for a second week of $43M and a two week running total of $112.2M. Yesterday Illumination/Universal's The Grinch was the top grossing title among regular films in release with an estimated $2.5M, -3% from Wednesday and a first week gross of $88.4M; that's more than the first week of Despicable Me ($85.6M).
In Fandango pre-sales, FB2 was pacing in sync with FB1 with the ticket-seller survey showing that 93% of moviegoers are excited to see Jude Law as Dumbledore, 91% saw FB1 on the big screen while 78% are fans of the pic's leading man Eddie Redmayne.
20th Century Fox/New Regency/See-Saw's Widows is also holding previews tonight at 7PM, as well as Paramount's Instant Family at the same time.
Let's hope the momentum builds. UPDATE FRIDAY, 12:36 PM: Warner Bros. Note last night's previews only grossed $7.3M and rep close to 27% of today's ticket sales. sequel Fantastic Beasts and the Crimes of Grindelwald is eyeing around $27.5M, on its way to a $69M-$70M weekend. Lower range here on the film because Thursday previews of $7.3M came in 17% less than the Thursday of the first chapter two years ago.
Thanksgiving is just getting started.” /> We'll have more as it comes.
20th Century Fox/New Regency/See-Saw's Widows from Oscar winner Steve McQueen which grossed $600K at 2,200 locations. Production cost before P&A was $42M. One industry comp is Breaking In which posted a Thursday night of $615K before making a $4.5M Friday and $17.6M opening, but overall is a hard one to comp and its a hybrid socio-political heist thriller ensemble. The pic is looking at a mid-teen to possible $20M opening. Widows has already cleared $4M from its UK release last weekend.

Domestic Box Office Hits $10 Billion Mark In Record Time

Of course, Marvel greased the wheels throughout the year starting with Black Panther back in February, which remains the year's highest grosser with $700M. That pic bridged the way to an early summer boom in late April with Avengers: Infinity War which delivered $678.8M in its entire run.
We're not done yet: Warner Bros. has yet to unleash Aquaman and Fantastic Beasts 2 (which we're hearing could very well open to $70M next weekend), plus MGM's Creed II, Disney's Ralph Breaks the Internet, Sony's Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse, Disney's Mary Poppins Returns and Paramount's Bumblebee are on deck.
 ” />
Following Disney/Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp in July ($216.6M), many in the industry thought 'That's it', no more event movies, but since then we've seen a season of overindexing, proof audiences prefer the big screen over their 60" flat screens at home, shelling out for Sony's Venom ($206M), Warner Bros.' A Star Is Born ($178M) and The Meg ($143M), New Line's Crazy Rich Asians ($173.2M) and The Nun ($117.3M), Universal/Miramax/Blumhouse's Halloween ($156.8M) and 20th Century Fox/New Regency/GK Films' Bohemian Rhapsody ($100M). This autumn and August surprised many.
2016 repped a banner year with $11.4 billion and so far 2018 is pacing 5.6% ahead of that Jan.-Nov. Given how U.S./Canada ticket sales have been clicking ahead of last year at the same point in time by 10%, it's clear we're headed for a fourth year that will cross $11 billion. 11 period ($9.5 billion).
By the end of today, the domestic box office per ComScore will have hit the $10 billion mark, doing so in record time: Ten months and 11 days.
Let's not forget the year-end 2017 holidays got us to a great start: There was $102.9M carryover juice from The Last Jedi, which made $620.1M in its entire run, and $235.5M from Sony's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle which racked up $404.5M in its 2017-18 play. But without a Star Wars movie at the tail-end of this year, many were expecting us to be down from previous years.

‘House Of Cards’ Creator: President Trump Is “Treasonous,” Should Be Impeached

Only actions, not statements, can stop it.” But Willimon, a frequent critic of the president, went one step farther: “Until the Congress is willing to use its constitutionally mandated power to end this presidency due to its rampant corruption and treasonous behavior, the damage will continue.
WGA East president and House of Cards creator Beau Willimon went off on President Donald Trump today, calling the Commander-in-Chief “treasonous.”
“Trump,” he tweeted, “is proving to be the most effective ambassador Russia has ever sent to Washington.”” />
Meanwhile he disparages Canada while praising North Korea & Russia. Dictatorships are, by nature, enemies of people. Earlier in the day, responding to the fallout from Trump’s meeting with the G-7 in Canada, Willimon tweeted that “Trump has stupidly & dangerously succeeded in alienating our greatest allies. They now find solidarity in opposing us. Trump is making us an enemy of the world.”
Americans stand with you, even if our president doesn’t.” The Arizona Senator is currently suffering from brain cancer but has refused to resign his post. His Trump comments were made in response to a tweet by Sen. John McCain, who said, “To our allies: bipartisan majorities of Americans remain pro-free trade, pro-globalization & supportive of alliances based on 70 years of shared values.
Willimon issued a long and rancorous tweetstorm today, bitterly attacking Trump and social media outlets over the course of several hours.

Rihanna Has Some New Music With Sizzla Coming

The products sold out in a matter of hours after launch. She registered a second single titled “Only One Who Knows.” That’s the clearest sign yet that she has been working on her ninths studio album. Seems RiRi new album might be coming this year because a very reliable sources told DancehallHipHop that she is back in the studio and she is working on something with Sizzla. 1 in the United States and Canada and spent a milestone 100 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart. At the time she registered a new song name “Phatty” and was spotted out in NYC wearing a Buju Banton T-Shirt. Last year she released her Fenty Beauty line of cosmetics which includes 40 shades of makeup. The same source confirmed that he came recently reached out to Sizzla’s team but it’s unclear if it’s a new collaboration or a sampling. ANTI peaked at No. So far there are no additional details but we have good intel that it might be coming later this year. Despite not dropping an album in two years, RiRi was the most streamed female artist on Spotify last year. It’s been since certified double platinum by the RIAA. The Bajan pop star was spotted recently hitting up a studio in New York and we’re told she was locked down for hours recording new material. She even earned a number one song on the Hot 100 chart when DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts” topped the chart last summer. Rihanna previously worked with Sizzla on the remix for “Give Me A Try.” She has always been a huge fan of the reggae/dancehall legend and even named him as one of her all-time favorite artists. Rihanna released her eight album ANTI on January 28, 2016. But fret not we will get the full details soon. Rihanna is back in the studio working on some new music. Related Posts

Sean Kingston Feeds Homeless In Kingston For Thanksgiving

I do it every year because Mama Kingston loves to give back.”
Sean Kingston is currently touring the US and Canada for his Made in Jamaica tour which supports his latest mixtape Made In Jamaica, released earlier this year. Mama Kingston said she has been doing this for the past decade in Florida and California. “We brought 500 plates and they ran out, and I had to get more,” she said. Last year I did it with Soulja Boy and Tyga. Sean Kingston says that he will be spending the holiday at his newly purchased home in Jamaica with his family. Sean Kingston is now living in Jamaica but he is still celebrating some American holidays and for Thanksgiving last week Thursday, the “Beautiful Girl” singer and his mother took to the streets of Kingston to dish out some hot meals to the homeless in Jamaica’s capital. “We did Florida for four years, California for six years and now, for the first time, Jamaica,” Janice said. Sean Kingston is getting a lot of praise for feeding homeless people in Kingston on Thanksgiving day. “Knowing that Jamaica doesn’t really celebrate Thanksgiving, it’s something new,” Kingston said. The singer’s mother Janice ‘Mama Kingston’ Turner said she spent all day cooking up some classic Jamaican dishes like curry chicken, oxtail, jerk chicken and more. “I always give back in the States, and I feel like bringing it back to my home, my culture, my country is something dope.

Norah Jones – Don’t Be Denied (Neil Young Cover) letras

When I was a young boy,
My mama said to me
Your daddy’s leavin’ home today,
I think he’s gone to stay.
We packed up all our bags
And drove out to winnipeg.

When we got to winnipeg
I checked in to school.
I wore white bucks on my feet,
When I learned the golden rule.
The punches came fast and hard
Lying on my back in the school yard.

Don’t be denied, don’t be denied.
Don’t be denied, don’t be denied.
Don’t be denied, don’t be denied.

Well pretty soon I met a friend,
He played guitar.
We used to sit on the steps at school
And dream of being stars.
We started a band,
We played all night.

Don’t be denied, don’t be denied.
Don’t be denied, don’t be denied.
Don’t be denied, don’t be denied.

Oh canada
We played all night
I really hate to leave you now
But to stay just wouldn’t be right.
Down in hollywood
We played so good

The businessmen crowded around
They came to hear the golden sound
There we were on the sunset strip,
Playing our songs for the highest bid.
We played all night
The price was right.

Don’t be denied, don’t be denied.
Don’t be denied, don’t be denied.
Don’t be denied, don’t be denied.

Well, all that glitters isn’t gold
I know you’ve heard that story told.
And I’m a pauper in a naked disguise
A millionaire through a business man’s eyes.
Oh friend of mine
Don’t be denied.
