Sammy Shore Dies: Comedy Store Co-Founder and Comedian Was 92

Pauly concluded by writing: "Dad, you lived an amazing life and I'm so proud to say that you are my father. When you're in heaven I'll be killing the crowds night after night and carrying on your legacy. Love you Dad. Rest in peace."
His son, actor and comedian Pauly Shore, posted a series of tweets Saturday about the late comedian's commitment to his family and his love of comedy.

Melania Trump Spokesperson To CNN: “Reports Focus On The Trivial And Superficial”

Spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham complained of unfair coverage on Melania Trump after an opinion piece by Kate Andersen Brower on a recent FLOTUS interview with Sean Hannity. In the piece, Brower argued that Trump "doesn't understand what it means to be first lady."
Grisham said in her own CNN piece late Saturday that "Of course, absurdity abounds in the media's coverage of our first lady. Reports focus on the trivial and superficial, rather than the deeper issues facing our country that the she has tirelessly worked to address."
 ” />
Responding to a recent CNN opinion column castigating First Lady Melania Trump's job performance, the FLOTUS communications director has penned a defense of her actions.
In fact, her strength, individuality and integrity should be celebrated." "She has and will continue to demonstrate her commitment to helping children and advancing the causes she is passionate about," Grisham wrote. "But there is nothing wrong with staying true to herself along the way.
The piece went on to list examples of Melania Trump's community outreach, including visits to Pittsburgh, Las Vegas and Parkland, Fla., to meet with shooting victims. She also cited visits with military personnel, and Trump's "Be Best" campaign, which has made stops at children's hospitals.
Do U?" coat on her border visit, and her choice of a Pith helmet during a visit to Africa, which some saw as a reminder of the Colonial era. She has also received comments on her fashion choices, including the infamous "I really don't care. The First Lady has experienced criticism from the media on "Be Best" because of her husband's social media attacks on his perceived enemies.

Tiger Woods/Phil Mickelson PPV Match Streamed Free, Angering Fans Who Paid

Woods and Mickelson are playing a $9 million winner-take-all match at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas.

Turner confirmed the glitch on PPV, but didn't comment on the Bleacher Report Issue. “We experienced some technical issues on B/R Live that temporarily impacted user access to The Match. We’ve taken a number of steps to resolve the matter, with our main priority being the delivery of content to those that have purchased the PPV event.”
The PPV match play between golfers Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson has angered fans who paid $19.95 to see it. As it turns out, it was streaming for free on the Bleacher Report website.
Mickelson won two closest-to-the-pin bets on the front nine. Mickelson was 1-up through nine holes and was leading Woods $300,000 to $200,000 in side-bet money.
However, match promoters claimed the PPV site's purchase function was overwhelmed and broke, so those who had purchased access had trouble getting in. The event was sold by Turner as a multi-platform pay-per-view event. That allegedly led to the decision to make it a free event.
Mickelson eventually birdied the 22nd hole to beat Woods.
Woods got $200,000 off Mickelson after the lefty failed to birdie the first hole.” />

However, the Woods/Mickelson event was available for free at its start, and there is no information on what point the decision was made to move it to free.

A Tinder For Professional Networking? What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

To minimize what Ogle referred to as the "pursuer/pursuee" problem — "I'm a beautiful woman in L.A. and lots of people are trying to meet me" — the individual user approves each connection request, a so-called "double opt-in."
But here's one feature that's bound to raise hackles: a “face scan” that allows you to aim your smartphone at someone's face, snap a photo and attempt to find that person on Ripple.
A team of former Tinder executives, led by the dating app's former chief technology officer, today launched an app that brings the same swipe right/swipe left sensibility to professional networking.
Ogle pitched this as a livelier alternative to the old-fashioned exchanging of business cards, though it's bound to raise privacy concerns.” />
Other professional information — such as job history, skills, education, mutual connections, and events attending — is tucked away behind icons, below the image. Like Tinder, the Ripple app is rooted in big, colorful profile photos.
Chief Executive Ryan Ogle talked — without a hint of awareness of the sexual harassment scandal roiling American workplaces — about how he and the Ripple team applied their learnings about how to connect people from their work on the dating app.
Users in search of a business connections swipe right (for a match!) or left (not so much) to connect.
There are other features designed to make Ripple more dynamic and useful than its established counterpart — such as the ability to find professional connections nearby or a way to create events or groups for people with similar interests.
Ripple also uses "relevance" to introduce us to individuals who might be valuable to our professional goals — not just a salesperson looking to sell you a service.
The app is called Ripple, and it aims to be an antidote to the more staid experience of Microsoft's LinkedIn.
"In the early days at Tinder, one of the things we talked about [was] that the whole discovery of new people was a big problem," Ogle said in a launch-day press conference at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. We talked about it being social discovery." "Before Tinder was a very specific dating app, we talked about it not being dating at all.

Tupac Shakur Murder Weapon Lost and Then Destroyed

The weapon was not just a possible match for the Tupac murder, it was also a match to another unsolved murder committed in Las Vegas. Law enforcement sources say the gun was sent to Las Vegas Metro PD who conducted their own ballistic testing and found out that the gun was not a match to Tupac’s case, but was a match to the other murder case. Las Angeles PD and Las Vegas police are unsure where the gun is or what happened to it and conspiracy theories are hounding in. Related Posts

‘American Horror Story: Cult’: “Substantial Cuts” To Next Episode After Las Vegas Tragedy

American Horror Story: Cult is the seventh installment of the anthology series created by Murphy and Brad Fulchuk.” />
"This opening, which was filmed two months ago and which portrays an occurrence of gun violence that has sadly become all too common in our country, contains a sequence that some viewers might find traumatic. FX said today that the producers of American Horror Story: Cult made "substantial edits" to the episode that airs Tuesday because the opening scene depicts "an occurrence of gun violence that has sadly become all too common in our country." The move comes a week after 58 people were killed and nearly 500 wounded in a rifle attack on an outdoor concert in Las Vegas.
The unedited version will available on VOD platforms.

A Bad Week Here, But A Good Year For Movies From Somewhere Else

But Weinstein didn’t do the film any favors on Thursday, when he used a limited apology statement to say he would be devoting his free time to a campaign against the National Rifle Association, an organization with which Renner’s fictional hunter, Cory Lambert, might feel a certain empathy. There’s no reason a fine picture like Wind River can’t eventually overcome an accidental association with still confused events and reactions. If the Oscars are to some extent a national mood ring, the colors are still shifting, blue to black, white hot to blood red.
With tensions high at home, it increasingly looks like a good season for movies from someplace else. Joe Wright’s Darkest Hour, about Winston Churchill, is tip-toeing into the limelight this week, with a showing at the Mill Valley festival on Thursday, and another set for the Hamptons on Saturday. Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk is up to $187 million at the box-office and counting (even as American Assassin and American Made drift).
Weinstein acknowledged some misbehavior, but promised to sue the Times; no matter how things sort out, that can’t help a movie about the rape and disappearance of vulnerable women. It was a rough week for one of the year’s so far best-received Oscar contenders, Taylor Sheridan’s Wind River. On Friday, an executive producer of the film, Harvey Weinstein, was suspended as co-chief of the Weinstein Company, its distributor, pending an investigation of claims in the New York Times that he was sexually abusive toward a series of actresses and others.
By Friday, a lobby costume showcase at the Landmark Theaters in West Los Angeles, where Oscars voters cluster, had replaced the sleek African-American period couture of Detroit with Judi Dench’s outfits from the very British Victoria and Abdul. As we get angrier here, the prospects get better for films from over there.” />
On Monday, a non-Weinstein film, Marshall, also took some damage when Open Road scratched its premiere amid grief over the deaths in Las Vegas. The picture is a Connecticut-set courtroom drama in which the young Thurgood Marshall defends a man who says he is falsely accused of rape—difficult turf with sexual outrage now back on the front page.
A few days earlier, the sniper attack in Las Vegas provoked fresh calls for stringent gun control. He isn’t quite a vigilante; but the film’s underlying respect for gun-barrel justice could take some viewers, and voters, outside a suddenly smaller comfort zone. Again, that was a tough break for Wind River, in which the Wyoming hero, played by Jeremy Renner, hunts predators—human and otherwise—with a high-powered rifle.
Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s The Current War, of which Weinstein is a credited producer, is another film that might benefit if he were to simply clam up for a while. The movie, about the battle between the American inventor Thomas Edison and the Pittsburgh industrialist George Westinghouse, has no obvious thematic ties to the headlines. But the last thing anyone needs to see when it pops up at the Mill Valley Film Festival or elsewhere this month is Harvey Weinstein giving its starlets Katherine Waterston and Tuppence Middleton a big hug.

Donald Trump’s Town Hall With Sean Hannity Scrubbed As POTUS Travels To Vegas On Wednesday

Trump had been scheduled to appear with Hannity for an exclusive interview at Metropolitan Theatre in Morgantown, West Virginia on Wednesday, October 4th at 9PM ET. President Donald Trump's appearance on Sean Hannity's Fox News Channel program, set for Wednesday, has been cancelled.

CBS Jettisons Legal Exec Over Social Media Remark About Las Vegas Massacre Victims

Hayley Geftman-Gold no longer in the network's employ, the network said.
CBS severed ties with a legal executive at the company in the wake of a Facebook remark in which she said she is "not even sympathetic" to the victims of Sunday night's mass shooting in Las Vegas because "country music fans often are Republican gun toters."
In her since-deleted remarks, Geft-Gold said, of GOP members of Congress in what appears to be a Sandy Hook elementary school massacre: "If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs will ever do the right thing."
Her remarks first were reported by The Daily Caller web site.
At least 58 people are dead and more than 500 injured when 64-year-old Stephen Paddock fired off hundreds of rounds of bullets from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, into a country music concert across the Vegas Strip. About 22K people were in the open-air venue attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival; Paddock began his automatic-weapon attack during headliner Jason Aldean's performance.” />
Our hearts go out to the victims in Las Vegas and their families.” "Her views as expressed on social media are deeply unacceptable to all of us at CBS. "There is a difference between being a candidate and being a president," Sanders shot back, reminding reporters and TV cameras recording the exchange that Trump is a big Second Amendment supporter.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders choked up at Monday's briefing as she read prepared remarks about Sunday night's mass shooting in Las Vegas.
That is a familiar refrain; Louisiana Gov Bobby Jindal, as a for instance, said same thing after a movie theater shooting in his state, more than two years ago. And, at today's presser, one reporter noted Trump had been eager to talk about gun policy immediately following the June 2016 shooting death of 49 people at Pulse nightclub in Orlando. But Sanders she insisted now is not the time to talk about gun control.
It is now the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.” /> The death toll climbed to 58, and at least 515 were injured when Stephen Paddock, 64, fire off hundreds of rounds of ammunition into a country-music concert in Las Vegas.
Reading prepared remarks, Sanders choked up as she said, "The memory of those who displayed the ultimate expression of love in the midst of an unimaginable act of hate…will serve as an eternal reminder that the American spirit cannot and will not ever be broken."

Nipsey Hussle – Grindin All My Life

[Hook]
All my life, been grindin’ all my life
Sacrificed, hustled, paid the price
Want a slice, I could roll the dice
That’s why, all my life, I been grindin’ all my life
All my life, been grindin’ all my life
Sacrificed, hustled, paid the price
Want a slice, I could roll the dice
That’s why, all my life, I been grindin’ all my life
[Verse 1]
Look, I’m married to this game, that’s who I made my wife
Said I’ll die alone, I told that bitch she prolly right
One thing that’s for sure, not a stranger to this life
Got a safe that’s full of Franklins and a shoulder full of stripes
I don’t know a nigga like myself
I say self made, meanin’ I designed myself
County jail failed, you can pull my file yourself
Bar raised, swallow rocks, I’m gettin’ high myself
Damn right, I like the life I built
I’m from west side, 60, shit, I might got killed
Standin’ so tall, they think I might got stilts
Legendary baller, like Mike, like Wilt
’96 Impala thug, life on wheels
Up against the walls, squabble at Fox Hills
Like a motherfuckin’ boss, ask me how I feel
Successful street nigga touchin’ his first mil
That’s why, all my life, I been grindin’ all my life
[Verse 2]
Look, I got everythin’ I said I was gon’ get on my kid
In addition to that fact, I went legit on that shit
Now accordin’ to the way that I’m positioned in this biz
It look like I’m just gon’ keep on gettin’ rich
I know that west side, RSC’s is us
LAPD on my dick, I’ma squeeze and bust
If a rap nigga dead, switch cheese and bust
All this rap money, nigga, look I need too much
Money, loyalty and love, in the dream we trust
You be switchin’ up the players on your team too much
Tiny copy, that’s my loc, yo supreme, what up
And we travel round the world gettin’ cream and what
Ain’t you get off on whoever hustle, seem to rush
Las Vegas, strip pop, yeah, you creep them punks
After all that lookin’ tough, all he see was stumps
50 Cent and Mayweather flee the scene with us, true story

[Hook]
All my life, been grindin’ all my life
Sacrificed, hustled, paid the price
