‘The Amazing Stan’: Stan Lee Is A Kid Again For Animated Project

“It is an honor to help carry on the creative legacy of one of the greatest storytellers that pop culture has ever known by introducing an original animated adventure series featuring a new cast of characters for kids and adults to connect with," Roberts said. Now his millions of fans can look forward to seeing him appear as an animated version of his younger self for the very first time.” "Stan Lee turned his childhood daydreams into a universe that features superheroes that have resonated with generations of all ages and cultures.
Lee's creations with such collaborators as Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, John Buscema, Gene Colan, Doc Heck, and Wally Wood yielded film franchises for Sony (Spider-Man), Fox (X-Men, Fantastic Four) and Marvel Studios (Avengers, Thor, Dr Strange, Ant-Man).” />
A two-minute preview of The Amazing Stan was announced at “A Celebration of Stan Lee’s Life and Legacy,” a Comic-Con panel dedicated to the most famous comic book creator in the medium's 80-year history.
Entertainment have partnered on the project which envisions the world as it would be seen through the eyes of Lee as a modern-day youngster. Pure Imagination Studios and POW! The character is a "constant dreamer" and he and his friends "learn to take risks, explore new ideas, and never ever give up."
Lee began writing comic books as a teen in the 1940s but it was his 1960s burst of IP creativity that would become an engine of profit across publishing, film, television, video games, toys, licensing, and theme park attractions.
Entertainment, and Bob Sabouni, Chief Marketing Officer of POW! Entertainment. Executive producers are Roberts, Joshua Wexler, CEO of PI Studios, Gill Champion, President, Director and CEO of Stan Lee’s POW!
Roberts, and Sanjee Gupta. Writer Scott Peterson (Escape from Cluster Prime, Phineas and Ferb) is developing the show based on the concept by Pure Imagination's Chief Content Officer, John P.
The project was conceived by the tandem of Roberts and Gupta, both of Pure Imagination. The pair brought the project to Lee who gave it his blessing and became involved in the development.
“Stan had the uncanny ability to see the world with a childlike imagination," Champion said. It takes a very special creative team to capture the story of a young Stan and the birth of his unique creations – we’re thrilled to work with Pure Imagination Studios and its team of creators and collaborators to tell this remarkable story and share this amazing ride with his legion of fans." "For example, an office building becomes a castle, while the streets below form a moat protecting the inhabitants inside.
Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee may be gone but he's still amazing – and he's still a kid at heart, too, inside the animated world of The Amazing Stan, a posthumous project that will be announced today at Comic-Con International in San Diego.

Bill Maher Responds To Backlash Over Comic Book Comments: “I Am Agnostic On Stan Lee” – Update

These are but a few of the things we the fans of Stan Lee also consider “adulting,” because life both as a child and grown-up can indeed be a struggle. Stan is the author of millions of happy childhood memories and the provider of so many of the positive tools of adulthood.
then went on to drag Maher saying that him saying Lee inspired people to "watch a movie" was disgusting. POW! "Countless people can attest to how Stan inspired them to read, taught them that the world is not made up of absolutes, that heroes can have flaws and even villains can show humanity within their souls," the letter said.
“But the assumption everyone had back then, both the adults and the kids, was that comics were for kids, and when you grew up you moved on to big-boy books without the pictures.” On the Real Time With Bill Maher blog (not on his show) Maher recognized that the world is mourning Lee’s death but then went on to say that Lee "inspired millions to, I don’t know, watch a movie" with his signature sarcasm. He also went on to put comic books on blast: "Now, I have nothing against comic books – I read them now and then when I was a kid and I was all out of Hardy Boys,” he wrote.

Entertainment posted an open letter to the Real Time host that criticized his commentary he posted over the weekend. PREVIOUS: In a response to Bill Maher's recent remarks about the death of Stan Lee and comic books, the Marvel legend's team at POW!

UPDATE with video interview, Wednesday 12:30 PM: Bill Maher recently appeared on Larry King Now and addressed his comments about Stan Lee and comic books that have drawn ire and backlash from social media.
Mr. When written well by great creators such as Stan Lee, they make us feel, make us think and teach us lessons that hopefully make us better human beings. Many said the same about Dickens, Steinbeck, Melville and even Shakespeare. Maher: Comic books, like all literature, are storytelling devices. One lesson Stan taught so many of us was tolerance and respect, and thanks to that message, we are grateful that we can say you have a right to your opinion that comics are childish and unsophisticated.
He continued to criticize how adults don’t give up “kid stuff” and says that they have “pretended comic books were actually sophisticated literature.” He adds that there are over 4,500 colleges in America and that “we need more professors than we have smart people” before saying that “dumb people got to be professors” for writing theses about comic books.
And for people to get mad at that just proves my point." What I was saying is, a culture that thinks that comic books and comic book movies are profound meditations on the human condition is a dumb fucking culture. He told King that he didn't know much about the Marvel comic icon and insists that it wasn't a "swipe" at him. "I am agnostic on Stan Lee. "I didn't even read them when I was a child. I don't read comic books," he said.
On their website, they posted a letter to Maher saying that great creators like Lee "make us feel, make us think and teach us lessons that hopefully make us better human being." The letter adds, " One lesson Stan taught so many of us was tolerance and respect, and thanks to that message, we are grateful that we can say you have a right to your opinion that comics are childish and unsophisticated. Many said the same about Dickens, Steinbeck, Melville and even Shakespeare." POW! wasn't about to let this go unnoticed.

But to say that Stan merely inspired people to “watch a movie” is in our opinion frankly disgusting. He gave us the X-Men, Black Panther, Spider-Man and many other heroes and stories that offered hope to those who felt different and bullied while inspiring countless to be creative and dream of great things to come. Countless people can attest to how Stan inspired them to read, taught them that the world is not made up of absolutes, that heroes can have flaws and even villains can show humanity within their souls.
Last week, Maher wrote a post on the Real Time blog titled "Adulting" saying that Lee inspired people to "watch a movie" and he focused on slamming adult fans of comic books and said that they weren't a legitimate piece of literature. During the interview with King he said that he wasn't aware that his comments made people mad because he "doesn't follow every stupid thing people lose their shit about" on social media.
Our shock at your comments makes us want to say “‘Nuff said, Bill,” but instead we will rely on another of Stan’s lessons to remind you that you have a powerful platform, so please remember: “With great power there must also come — great responsibility!”

Bill Maher Addresses Stan Lee’s Death, Says Adults Pretend Comic Books Are “Sophisticated Literature”

Maher's commentary comes shortly after Armie Hammer fired off a sarcastic tweet about Stan Lee's death saying: "So touched by all of the celebrities posting pictures of themselves with Stan Lee… no better way to commemorate an absolute legend than putting up a picture of yourself."
"And now when adults are forced to do grown-up things like buy auto insurance, they call it “adulting,” and act like it’s some giant struggle," he said.
The post seems less about Stan Lee's death and more about the country's obsession with comic books and the movies that accompany them.
"Now, I have nothing against comic books – I read them now and then when I was a kid and I was all out of Hardy Boys," he wrote in a blog post titled 'Adulting'. "But the assumption everyone had back then, both the adults and the kids, was that comics were for kids, and when you grew up you moved on to big-boy books without the pictures." On the Real Time With Bill Maher blog, Maher recognized that the world is mourning Lee's death but then, with his on-brand outspoken rhetoric, went into the relationship adults have with comic books.
The tweet immediately drew backlash and he has since deleted it and posted an apology. "I want to apologize from the bottom of my heart and will be working on my Twitter impulse control."” /> "While attempting to provide unnecessary social commentary about the current selfie culture, I (in true asshat form — thank you Jeffrey Dean Morgan) inadvertently offended many who were genuinely grieving the loss of a true icon," he said.
He concludes by saying, "The problem is, we’re using our smarts on stupid stuff. I don’t think it’s a huge stretch to suggest that Donald Trump could only get elected in a country that thinks comic books are important."
This week, comic book legend and pop culture icon Stan Lee died and while his fans, colleagues, and members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe mourned his death, Bill Maher addressed his death from another angle.
He went on to say that 20 years ago, adults didn't give up "kid stuff" and says that they have "pretended comic books were actually sophisticated literature." He adds that there are over 4,500 colleges in America and that "we need more professors than we have smart people" before saying that "dumb people got to be professors" for writing theses about comic books.

Disney’s Bob Iger & Marvel Studios Boss Kevin Feige On “Genius” Of Stan Lee

The death of Stan Lee today has brought wide praise and mourning for the comic legend, especially from the CEO of Disney and the president of Marvel Studios.
Starting with the Robert Downey starring Iron Man in 2008, Marvel has become one of the dominant forces in Hollywood with more and more heroes like this year's acclaimed Black Panther flying on to the big screen and big box offices sequels galore for the Armored Avenger, Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man and of course the actual Avengers themselves. After a worldwide box office of nearly $18 billon and Captain Marvel poised to be released next spring, Disney's big bucks acquisition of Fox's film properties this year, sees the previously pre-Disney licensed X-Men plus Spidey himself and more look to swing over the cinematic rooftops anew in the not too distant future.
The man leading those next stages of Marvel's growth wore his heart on his sleeve in a statement after Lee's death at 95-years old today.
Sadly, those future projects will not include the cameos by Lee that fans had come to expect and love.
“No one has had more of an impact on my career and everything we do at Marvel Studios than Stan Lee," said Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige. "Stan leaves an extraordinary legacy that will outlive us all," the producer and big screen Marvel mastermind added. Excelsior!”” /> "Our thoughts are with his daughter, his family, and the millions of fans who have been forever touched by Stan’s genius, charisma and heart.
"A super hero in his own right to Marvel fans around the world, Stan had the power to inspire, to entertain, and to connect," added Iger, who instigated the in hindsight very lucrative purchase of Marvel in 2009 for $4 billion. "The scale of his imagination was only exceeded by the size of his heart. "Stan Lee was as extraordinary as the characters he created, said Bob Iger on this holiday Monday.

Stan Lee’s Marvel Movie & TV Cameos – A Photo Gallery

Recently, he played a "dapper dog walker" in Sony's Venom, a "bus driver" in Avengers: Infinity War, a "thirsty gambler" in Black Panther and a "shrinking car owner" in Ant-Man and the Wasp, and he voiced Fred's dad in Disney's Big Hero 6 animated series. Lee has a total of 121 acting/narrating credits, according to IMDb, and the slew of his creations on the big screen kept him busy.
That success created a second Stan Lee industry: cameo-ing in films and shows based on characters he helped create. Stan Lee, who died Monday at age 95, is known for creating hundreds of characters for Marvel Comics, many of which became famous in their film or TV incarnations.

Lee also voiced countless roles in animated series, including narrating series based on The Incredible Hulk and memorably Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends in the early- to mid-1980s.
Like Alfred Hitchcock before him, Lee became his own Easter egg in movies for the likes of Marvel Studios' blockbuster Avengers (Disney), X-Men (Fox) and Spider-Man (Sony) series. That includes Paramount's Iron Man in 2008; soon after, Disney acquired Marvel and propelled the Avengers into one of history's most lucrative film franchises.

Derek Minor – Look At Me Now (Reflection Album) letras

[Verse 1]
I am not supposed be here
I was not invited, I am not supposed to eat here
Table with my enemies, snacking on a beat here
I can see through every last one of y’all, so be clear
I talk about God and how we kings and he live in us
But I keep it real, that’s why the goons still feeling us
Be cool dog disrespect is not the way to deal with us
Cause I can put you in your place kinda like a realtor
Got some awards on me now, got some dough on me now
Like half time, I had some friends switch goals on me now
This session, teach you a lesson if you doze on me now
On how to depend on the Lord, cause he rose in me now
I see a generation, everybody wanna be famous
Want everybody to love you, y’all wanna be Raymond
Everybody hate truth, so you gone prolly hate this
But my foundation on a rock, so I’m ok with being Chris
This world evil, it manipulate people
Like wearing a suit of armor around magneto
RMG assembled this year like the avengers
You would swear I’m Stan Lee, how I help you see the vision
We ain’t got a whole lot, just a few stones trying slay a giant
In a industry that say you gotta be Goliath
Said we’d be nothing, but they lying
See my faith is in what God say, i suggest you try it, it’s Minor

[Hook]
They said that I will never make it, look at me now
I would say that they’re mistaken, look at me now
I was born broke and naked, look at me now
I pray you see the Lord’s gracious, look at me now

[Verse 2]
Look here, the difference between me and you
Homie that is clear as day
You trying to make a mil, I’m trying to give one a way
You think you indestructible, I know they we made of clay
So I live life desperately, like I’m about to die today
Cause that may be my reality
In a time when black men are seeing more and more casualties
Whether bad cop or gang, I still see it a tragedy
And they upload the clips on the net, for the world to see
Just to get they click ups, they upload a beat down
Fear of being a victim make me wanna walk with heat now
But that’s not the Lords will, he said advocate for peace now
Plus I’m already dead, go head and hashtag me now
This oppression is systemic, we don’t see it tho
Slavery is still alive, prison is the vehicle
But we don’t wanna talk about it
We just wanna share our Twitter thoughts about it
Grieve for that young man body that got chalk around it
Look me in my eyes, tell me what you see
When I look at you, I see somebody just like me
Made in the image of God, from the dust like me
Blew breath in your body from his lungs like me
See I’m trying to paint a picture with my words
That’ll help you see possessions and they words are not your worth
You hearing me now , yeah you hearing now
Finally reflecting greatness boy look at you now

[Hook]
They said that I will never make it, look at me now
I would say that they’re mistaken, look at me now
I was born broke and naked, look at me now
I pray you see the Lord’s gracious, look at me now
